故事講述的是南海神廟管理員羅波、陶麗及女兒羅密一家人磕磕碰碰的生活中，因為羅蜜的刁蠻任性，一家人被神奇的古羅盤穿越回宋朝，變成菠蘿蜜怪物。為了變回人形，穿越回家，一家人必須找到古羅盤上缺失的三顆寶石。在大船上結識了大只佬船長和船員，大家沿途貿易之余相互關愛、尤似家人。遠航途中眾人分別遇到了殘暴的[我不聽國王]、[野人]、[幽靈海神]，并得到了三顆寶石，終于在風暴中再次穿越回到了2019 年。
